Instructor training.
So you want to be a driving instructor?
The journey to becoming an Approved Driving Instructor is a long and complicated one. 3 parts all linked through theory and professional training. With the right guidance in the foundation stages sets you up for the journey. Your driving is the benchmark and foundation of your teaching strategies. Linking the 3 elements together helps cement the foundations in place. Bespoke to you, part 2 training is delivered by Parker-Up to the very highest standards. Ideally split into 3 days of 5 hrs (by the hour coaching also available) Your driving will be assessed, improved and perfected to meet the high standards expected of an ADI. Once you pass part 2 we can support you with in-car observation of real lessons (strictly by agreement of the learner and availability) Finally we can recommend you to an ORDIT trainer for part 3 to ensure continuation of the journey to success.
Advanced Training.
If you are an experienced driver, not driven for a while, maybe new to the area or who just wants to improve the quality of their driving, this can also be tailored to your requirements. Thinking of driving an automatic? book a lesson and find out. Learn the way of the clutch? why not take a manual conversion course and get that Full licence.
Pass Plus training takes at least 6 hours. It has 6 modules, covering driving in town, all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways, on motorways (+2hrs) All lessons should be practical sessions, although local conditions may mean some are theory based. You’ll normally spend at least 5.5 hours driving.
